ISA8895-Ontology
The goal of this project is to extract the unexposed, underlying concepts of the ISA-88 and ISA-95 standard in order to develop a consistent interoperability framework covering the entire facilities operations. This group works independently, but in constructive understanding with the ISA88, ISA95 and ISA106 committees:
- serving as an unconstrained, advanced think tank for these committees
- preparing a possible evolution of the standard or paving the way for new standards
- delivering prospective experimental solutions for interoperability based on XML schemas and OWL
This project is a prerequisite for the OPC UA project, though it is independent of and open to any ontology approach. The OPC UA project is also hosted at CCM http://www.controlchainmanagement.org/content/d-8895-opcua
